A 66-year old man was sleeping at their home in Degerfors when someone threw a flammable container with flammable liquid through the kitchen window just before three o’clock in the night.
The liquid has caught fire with fire damage and heavy smoke as a result. It seems to have been a very awesome fire, perhaps even extinguished by itself. When the fire department and we will forward the smoke comes very, but thats not an open flame, says Anders Wallin, coordinating duty officer in the police region of Bergslagen.
It should be a couple in the villa but the 66-year-old was home alone. He was awakened by the blast, got out on his own and was run later by ambulance to Karlskoga Hospital with minor smoke damage.
Police headlining the event as arson and searched the area with dog patrols, but did not get up any trace of the perpetrator .
It could have been terrible consequences if it had not gone out, says Anders Wallin.
