An eleven year old boy killed in an accident with a quad in Röjeråsen north of Vikarbyn in Dalarna on Saturday.

There were two boys who were out driving. For unknown reasons, so I drove guy on the first ATV into a chain that blocks the road into a conservation area, says Göran Nilsson, duty officer at the police in Dalarna.

The boy was thrown from the ATV.

He was injured so severely that he later died, said Nilsson.

The other boy, who is the same age, was shocked difficult. While police and rescue workers took offense at him.

It is clearly inconvenient, such a serious accident with a child. There are crisis teams in place, both for the relatives of the boy and to rescuers, said Nilsson.

Both the boys from the neighborhood, and family members are informed.

Exactly how the accident has gone to the unclear. Nor do the police who ATV belonged or the circumstances surrounding the boy’s driving in relation to the rules. If it is permissible for eleven year olds to drive quad bike depends on several factors, such as whether the vehicle was registered and on the road was public and the site fenced explains Göran Nilsson.

We do not know if the ATV was registered or not. We do not know yet if this is considered a public road or not, he says.

A preliminary investigation of reckless driving and manslaughter has begun.
