25-year-old convicted of involuntary manslaughter – Swedish Radio

There will be three and a half years in prison for the 25-year-old man who stood indicted on suspicion of murdering his father in an apartment in Hammenhög in September last year.

This was announced Ystad District Court at 11 am on Tuesday morning. The man convicted of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault.

The prosecutor had demanded that the 25-year-old would be convicted of murder, with the sanction life in prison.

The district court found the evidence sufficient to consider that it is set beyond a reasonable doubt that the man intentionally deprived his father lives.

The 25-year-old will also pay damages of more than SEK 150 000.
