Human shield for the equal value – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

A few hundred people gathered at the Raoul Wallenberg square in Stockholm on Friday, to renounce violence and hatred after the terrorist attacks in Copenhagen and Paris.

Last Saturday was held , a similar manifestation in Oslo to show support for Jews after Copenhagen attacks in which two people were killed.

– I’m here to prove that we humans belong together, no matter who we are, ‘said Daniel Danielsson, who have moved out of the cold.

He says that terrorist attacks brought a concern to him.

– It has unfortunately proved what humans are capable of doing to each other, he said .

The manifestation was also an initiative to combat against extremism and especially anti-Semitism.

Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) were invited speaker, and said to audience that hatred never take power over our lives.

– I think of the children who were in the synagogue in Copenhagen, who were forced to seek shelter. And the children in Sweden who had to see armed guards on the way to school. It is a development that we must never accept in Sweden, said the leaves.

He seemed noticeably moved when he talked about prejudice, violence and discrimination that minorities in Sweden are exposed to daily.

Someone threw up a white rose in the crowd, and positive voice was heard when the Prime Minister made it clear that “it is up to us to decide what kind of society we want.”

– Opinion and religious freedom is among the most important thing we have. Therefore I came here, ‘said Magdalena Granholm, who also come to the Raoul Wallenberg Square to show their support.

Behind the arrangement was network Limitless human, together with others organizations Young Muslims against anti-Semitism and xenophobia and Young Roma.

The group Limitless Human’s representative a number of different minorities and the goal is to act against anti-Semitism, antiromism, Islamophobia and all forms of racism.
