Delays after tågkrock – Helsingborgs Dagblad

Delays after tågkrock – Helsingborgs Dagblad

A commuter train ran in the morning into a derailed freight train in Sodertalje port.

– pendants train drivers have said that there was a sharp thud, but what I know, no one injured, said Peter Behrman, press officer at the Swedish Transport Administration.

The freight train had derailed just before seven o’clock, 20 minutes before the commuter train smashed into it. After the collision, was released the passengers off at the Port of Södertälje where trains now stands.

– We are very serious about this. People are in place and take in the facts which will then be investigated. There are various safety barriers when a train derailed, but what happened in Södertälje must depth study says Anna ZIMMERLING, Head of Transport Administration.

The accident causes delays on the route Gnesta-Södertälje, where only one track is open.

– It is particularly problematic when there is both a derailment and a crash. The risk is that there will be delays throughout the day, says Peter Behrman.
