Österåker municipality is now being examined by the National Anti-Corruption Unit. The following revelations of suspected corruption uncovered by SVT.

The National Anti-Corruption Unit launched on Friday an investigation in response to reports that former councilor Ingela Gardner Sundström and her husband Jan-Olov Sundström, former chairman of the building committee , borrowed money from one of Sweden’s wealthiest families, Elisabeth and Gustaf Douglas.

Then the family Douglas planning permission for the construction of a boat hall on the beach protected area. The information was revealed by Mandate Review.
