Municipality of money used in the purchase of weapons – Västerbotten Courier

Tjörn made a mistake and paid half a million dollars that ended up with criminals. Police and prosecutors believe that a large part of the money was used to buy weapons, writes gp.se.

The municipality would pay a vendor SEK 500 000. But payer cruised to a bank account instead of a postal account and the money ended up at a woman’s account. At a later inspection discovered fumble. The municipality police reported the woman when she is not, despite several requests did not pay the money back.

On Monday indicted four men and a woman after having been arrested in a car chase that ended in a field outside Halmstad. During the investigation, police found a total of 51 guns. The woman and three other people suspected in the context of wrongful procedure. That’s the bit that’s about the funding of arms purchase, writes GP.

– Of course it is extremely unfortunate. Since then we have changed the system for invoices, changed the procedures and introduced additional controls, says municipality manager Johan Fritz.

The Supplier has received payment. In the indictment requires the municipality that the defendants pay back half a million to Tjorn.
