Avalanche this Winter – a man was pulled – Aftonbladet

At least one man has been drawn into an avalanche this Winter writes Västerbotten Courier.

The person must have been rescued – but have weak breathing, the newspaper said.

At 11 o’clock the ambulance, avalanche dogs and mountain rescue is still in place.

The avalanche must have occurred at Large Coarse just before half past 11. Initially, there are reports that a man should have been drawn into the snows – but it can be more.

– why handled the matter fully, says Anders Benberg, duty officer at the police in Västerbotten to Aftonbladet at 11 o’clock.

The man must have been skiing with four skaters when the 100-meter-long avalanche buried him in the snow.



Burial 10 minutes

According Västerbotten Courier to be the man have been below the snow for ten minutes – before he was rescued.

– He has no physical injuries, but is dazed and shaken. Now he will be checked up properly, says Peter Julin, avalanche technicians in the area told the newspaper.

Rescue personnel, avalanche dogs, mountain rescue and air ambulance is left on the site and looking for more people.
