Tobias Billström becomes the first Vice President – Expressen

Tobias Billström becomes Moderates Vice President candidate. It became clear during the Moderate party’s parliamentary group meeting on Sunday. Bill Power is now expected to become the First Deputy Speaker.

The Social Democrats, who became the largest party in the election, appoints new President but the party has not yet announced who it will be. Pre Tipped for the post is Susanne Eberstein that today is the first deputy speaker of the parliament.

Clear stands however who gets Moderates Vice President post – Tobias Bill Power. On Sunday, he submitted his application to be relieved of the task he had as a cabinet minister.

– I feel honored to have been asked by the parliamentary group but the formal election of the President takes place in the house tomorrow, says Tobias Billström.

If its, probably, future missions as First Vice President, he says:

– This means both work in the House, and international work. It feels important and indicate the position. International relations is constantly getting more and more important.

After the parliamentary elections two weeks ago there was discussion about how the Speaker, items should be distributed. The Left opposed the Sweden Democrats will have a Vice President post, but the other parliamentary parties gave notice of their commitment to honoring the current practice. Whoever gets the Sweden Democrats’ candidate for Vice President is not yet clear.

But already on Thursday night appointed Green Party Vice President, Esabelle Dingizian.

– I want to show that it is possible that the foreign-born to become President in Sweden, there is only so to say people who are blonde and have a Swedish name that may be in power, but we have a Sweden today where there are opportunities for people to be able to get those in power, even as the foreign born, said Dingizian to SR after the appointment.

On Tuesday, the Riksdag session opening, when the new President should propose to the Prime Minister.
