At half past eight , police received two calls from people who heard the sound of gunshots from Queen Street. When the police patrol who were at Sergel Square also heard the shots and came running to the scene.

– When the offender had already left. We initiated an effort to look for him, but have not found anyone, says Jonas Widmark at Stockholm police.

There were many people moving into the area who witnessed the incident , but there is no information on what the man shot at.

– We have not encountered any damage to the property and no persons are injured. But we have found bullet casings on the ground, says Jonas Widmark.

The police will not to continue the search for the perpetrator during the night.

– There is no data we has received. They have been looking initially and now it has gone a few hours. Most likely is not the culprit remains nearby, says Zareh Mansourian at Stockholm police to SvD.

The police have launched a preliminary investigation of aggravated larceny.
