A 38-year-old man who was arrested last spring on suspicion of being ordered and directed a large number of rapes against children abroad, now also suspected of raping a 1-2 year old girl in Uppland, local media reported.
The man was arrested on Wednesday on probable cause of aggravated rape. The assault must have occurred in April 2010 and was unveiled during the ongoing investigation of sex crimes against children in the Philippines.
police found pictures of the man along with a girl who is deemed to be in 1-2 years old. The girl has not been identified either by the man’s relatives or his acquaintances.
– We are sure the location of the assault but has in no way been able to identify the girl, said prosecutor Pontus Melander to UNT.
