Now: Protesters drown out Nazi meeting – Swedish Radio

Gotaplatsen is full of people who had gathered to protest against the Nazi squares meeting. The crowd shouting slogans and drowns Swedes party says P4 Gothenburg reporter on the scene.

The Nazi party Swedes began Square meeting at. 14 today on Gotaplatsen. The party is authorized to conduct the meeting and the police have a special commanding place.

According to the police, it remained quiet on Gotaplatsen.

– Police have cordoned off Gotaplatsen and divided it into different sections with barricades or protective fence as police say, says Markus Alfredsson is in place.

police spokesman Björ Blixter say the reason is that the meeting will be able to walk calmly.

– No one will come close encounter with dangerous objects or disturb. We have different sections. We have applied this fållsystemet earlier on Gotaplatsen and it has worked just fine, says Björ Blixter.

Yesterday arose commotion in Malmö when thousands of demonstrators in Malmo wanted to stop the meeting or show their rejection.

The atmosphere was at times very uneasy, and several people were injured when police, including the horse, trying to keep the groups apart and rode into the crowd. Another person was injured when he was hit by a police car.

Three people sat this morning still detained after the violence at the plaza meeting in Malmö yesterday.

– A total of six that were introduced. Among them, two who remains in custody on suspicion of rioting, and another who is suspected of violation of masking the ban, says Maya Forstenius, information officer at Skåne police said.

– Others are released after interrogation and prosecutorial decisions.
